E-Trail Digital Archive™ is a feature rich, turn-key Electronic Communications Retention, Retrieval and Supervisory system. E-Trail captures electronic communications using any of three methods: real-time capture, batch capture, or backfilling the archive from backup media in any format. In all cases the product uses single instance storage on the message body as well as each attachment, guaranteeing minimal storage usage.

Electronic communication retrieval is achieved through a user-friendly web interface that allows users to select communications based on any combination of sender(s), receiver(s), date/time windows, department codes, and keyword/phrases/regular expressions. In addition, the interface allows query fine-tuning including case sensitivity/insensitivity, external/internal/all communication filters, and Boolean operations on the sender/receiver fields. Advanced features include the ability to create
scheduled and or automated queries that greatly simplify common user activity. All indexing and keyword search uses the open source tool Lucene for maximum functionality and flexibility.
E-Trail Digital Archive™ has a fully integrated person and/or role-based access control subsystem. All user activities are automatically logged for full audit control capability. E-Trail’s open architecture assures its users maximum flexibility in integration with any database, storage device, or external application
